I am looking for a good oxygen concentrator and I have been looking for a while on the internet and I come across Respironics SimplyGo Portable Oxygen Concentrator in which I think is the best of both continues and pulse mode, prices vary.
What do you Think.

The SimplyGo is a quality unit and the lightest one on the market that supplies pulse and continuous flow. If you need continuous flow only up to 2 LPM, then the SimplyGo is an excellent choice.

Hi Allison Waters, firstly thank you for being the oxygen gal, you are a great help on the net, we are travelling to israel and will be travelling from south africa on the simply go, my wife is 36yrs old and an ARDS survivor, she is on 2L/per minute. 1.will it be okay to travel with the simply go(humidifier connected)if continous is required. 2. Is the simply go sufficient on the plane. 3. can the machine run for about 20hours non-stop. we 5 extra batteries with us. she is on pulse mode on 2L. from your insight in this product, will she require more than 2L whilst travelling on the plane, meaning is more oxygen required while flying. our flight is from durbanto johanesburgh then to cairo and then to tel-aviv. total about 20 hours before we get to Israel and be put onto a continous flow machine. just a note, at home she uses the Devibliss 5L on continous and when we go out she uses the Simply go and it is sufficient. many thanks for your help – Ashwin and Devendree maharajh – Durban South Africa

Yes, it is okay to travel with the SimplyGo. The humidifier bottle may be of concern because it must remain upright to prevent water from flowing back through the tubing, thus damaging the machine. It is best to remove the humidifier bottle while traveling and simply pack it in your luggage or carry-on bag. The SimplyGo can handle the long duration of use and will provide the same purity of oxygen in the air as it does on the ground. Most people can use the same amount of oxygen in pulse flow while flying, although some people have to increase the pulse flow setting a little. I would recommend talking to her doctor to see what he thinks is best since he knows her oxygen needs best and is required to complete a physician’s statement for the airlines.
